Performance Group Updates

Sunday March 8th - The Talent Room Adjudicated Showcase (Team Twinkle, Team Comets, Team Stars, Team Sparks, Team Ignite) - A sharing of talent day with our friends at The Talent Room; perfomring our routines and/or works-in-progess in a non-competitive, supportive environment; Show time 3:00-5:30, dancers can arrive betwwen 1:00-2:00.  See email for location and directions

Thursay March 12th - AnaMaria's Dance Academy invites us to perform in their Talent Showcase. Time 6:30-8:30PM. Team Stars, Sparks, Ignite welcome to attend. $80 entrance fee, includes tickets for parents. Solos, duets, trios or groups can attend.

TBA- Douglas Crossing Show - sometime in April or May, likely a Sunday afternoon

Sunday April 12 - Dance Competition - one day event, email for location. Times 9:00-5:00PM (Twinkle, Stars, Comets, Sparks, Ignite)

May 1-3- Dance Competition #2 - see email for locations, times TBA (STars, Sparks, Ignite)

May 15-17 - Dance Competition #3 - tentative schedule sent (Twinkle, Stars, Comets, Sparks, Ignite)

Sunday May 24 - Dance Picture Day at the Studio with EDGE Photography

Sunday June 7th - Dance Recital, Port Perry Town Hall Theatre

Show and Share Day

 

On Saturday February 21 all our comp dancers are invited to a SHOW AND SHARE day! It's a chance to share our dances to date and show where we are at in the process of preparing for our performance season. Dancers are to come in all black (you can wear black bodysuit and beige tights and black shorts or leggings) and hair in a slick neat bun. Bring water (and snacks if you wish.). Students will remain at the studio the whole time - no Starbucks trips! We hope you can come! It's a great opportunity to practice and share and grow and bond! Time: 1:30 - 4:30PM

NEW CLASS!!!!

 NEW CLASS!!!  We are so pleased to be offering a new Cardio Dance Class with Marie!  Marie is an accomplished dancer, having achieved her advanced level ballet certificate and an achievement award for achieving not only the highest honours on her Classical Ballet examination, but also for completing the full syllabus for ballet with the Canadian Dance Teachers of Canada. She also holds her Fitness Instructor Specialist with CanFirPro, her her First Aid and CPR and her PhD from Queens University in some sort of crazy science that I can't even begin to coomprehend or even spell!!!

Her Cardio Sculpt is guaranteed to be safe, fun and help you achieve your fitness goals!

New Class! Beginner Yoga Series Thursday in February

Join our four-week Yoga Beginner Series at DanceBridge Dance Studio, perfect for those new to yoga. Led by Yoga Alliance certified instructor Eileen McCartney, classes run Thursdays from 8:00–8:45 PM beginning February 5th for a 4 week session, focusing on gentle movement, breath, and foundational poses in a welcoming, supportive environment.
